Architecture is everywhere and affects all aspects of our lives. There are many levels to architecture to explore and manipulate from details to the city fabric.

When I look at the field of architecture I feel that there should never be two buildings that look alike. Every new building is an opportunity to create something new. Creating something new does not mean we should ignore the past. We must look back and understand not only what the great architects of the past were doing but more specifically why they were doing it. Everything that was done in the past is a direct response of an event or situation that was taking place. We should learn and see how they dealt with the situations faced and learn from that. When an architect is given the opportunity to design a building they should embrace the people, city, and culture they are designing for and design accordingly.
